Fatal Flaw

What’s her fatal flaw?

Looking at her across the mirror,

She intrigues me.

Simply because I can’t figure her out.

What’s her fatal flaw?

From the outside she’s just a normal girl.

Brown eyes and curly hair,

Decent body.

What’s her fatal flaw?

If we look deeper we’ll discover much more.

She’s been hurt more times than she can count.

By people she never expected could or would hurt her.

What’s her fatal flaw?

She gives her heart out too easily,

She gives too many second chances,

People who don’t deserve it.

What’s her fatal flaw?

She picks the wrong people,

Time after time after time.

To give a piece if not all of her heart to.

What’s my fatal flaw?

I wear my heart on my sleeve.

As much good as it does me,

It also does me wrong.

So why do I do it?
