Ode To Chargers

Ode to chargers

Not the wire plug in chargers for our modern day technology

But to the chargers that refuel

Re-energize

And bring life back to

Ode to the tall glass of water with not one

Not two

But three ice cubes that flow through my parched desert like mouth

Ode to the all natural vitamin D from the sun

Bringing life back to my pale ghost like skin

To the all around satisfying clicking sound

Bouncing off from my broken cased laptop keyboard

Ode to the scorching hot showers that burn my skin red

Re-liquifying my now flowing bloodstream

The fluffy croissants my mom brings home from work

Filling my empty stomach with delicious carbs

Ode to my telescopic mascara that glides over my eyelashes

Extending their length ever so smoothly

To the school desks that are so harsh on our backs

Cracking every vertebrae perfectly inch by inch as we arch back

Ode to the instant serotonin that rushes through my body

Seeing my dogs tail wiggle a hundred miles an hour as I walk in through the door

To the author whose books send a secret message

Hidden between the lines

So I say again

Ode to chargers

Not the wire plug in chargers for our modern day technology

But to the chargers that refuel

Re-energize

And bring life back to
