Someday I’ll Love Meadow McNaney

After O’Hara, Reeves, Vuong, Rader

Someday I’ll like Meadow McNaney

Someday I’ll acknowledge her triumphs

And soar all through her intelligence

But today is not that day

All the awful things this child has gone through

Too young she was

Leaving trauma

Trauma that left internal scars

But those scars will heal over

Skin will cover up the mess left behind

Someday maybe

But not today

Someday I’ll love Meadow McNaney

Someday I’ll dance through her name

And swim in the depths of her personality

That day will come soon

That day is in the future

This childs future's is so bright

Says every adult ever

My future will only shine if I want

If I allow it to

Someday I’ll believe in Meadow McNaney

Enough to make her dreams a reality
